Life Drawing #4, DIY graffiti NY Mop and Posca

Life Drawing #4 – finally a male model!

Finally after 3 weeks of female models, we have a male model during life drawing class…I was quite nervous about doing him justice and taking full opportunity of it. I’d also brought my graff ink and my DIY graffiti markers (a NY mop for those in the know, and various Kiwis) and you’ll see the drawing experiments when I first trialed these at home in a future post.

I also took some refillable empty markers and the usual Posca and newer but rather weaksauce Liquitex (shame Posca doesn’t have a wider range of colours, might fix that when I get into refilling because it’s basically acrylic ink but the Posca is opaque and the Liquitex very much isn’t).

I think the rather random graffiti ones worked well, especially love how the marks spread. It is very bold but also random. Also did a pen and ink with Tippex pen of him.

All-told, was a furious but far better session than last week!
