In my last Life Drawing session I hinted that I’d done some ‘graffiti’ style drawing tests before I did the session. Although this verges into painting! Here they are – using the kiwi and NY mops as used in street graffiti, the Inferno ‘ink’ (really dye) and some Liquitex pens.
One of the pieces is show in version 1 above and version 2 below and in the main image, which became a sort of self-portrait. The series is called ‘Brace Chang’ after someone told me to ‘Embrace Change’ – such a vapid thing to say, and complete bullshit marketese that it annoyed me enough to use it.
I have a new washing machine as well, so those symbols might have cheekily made their way in, as well!
