Portraits At The Pub 53: Mariam

Although I’ve been really busy with the hiking channel I have been keeping up mostly with the Portraits at the Pub – here’s one session from November where I struggled to get a likeness of Mariam but I think I got some good portraits nonetheless in my usual mix of media – like this paint stick (sorry ‘Gel Studio sticks’) piece:

And as usual a technical pen piece, this seems to becoming a style of mine, continuous line. And unusually a brush pen piece – I think I was practicing all these to make sure the gear was working, as I was off to do a trip the next day. Forgot the paper though.

The best piece for likeness is this fountain pen piece and wash, still fairly loose but I like the face.
